DSP Objects for Realtime Performance

In 2001, a modest package of objects for Max/MSP was first released with the name Tap.Tools. This formed the basis for a number of both artistics and software development projects. In 2003, work began on a complete re-write of Tap.Tools into two packages: a package of C++ objects usable in a variety of contexts, and the traditional package of Max objects but now built on this new DSP library. In 2005, the C++ package was licensed as Open Source, and a the new version of Tap.Tools Max (version 2.0) has just been released.

Tap.Tools Blue is an Open Source (GNU LGPL) project with development being managed on SourceForge.

Tap.Tools Max is a commercial set of objects for Max, MSP, and Jitter. In addition to wrapping the functionality of the Tap.Tools Blue framework, a variety of utilities, user interface objects, and processors are available.
